How Does It Work?
Purchase of Murder In The French Quarter Comes with detailed instructions and resources to play “Murder In The French Quarter” online!
Game play and setup is very similar to how one would normally play in person, but instead the participants join a video conference remotely where the host shares audio files and clues using the software's "Share Screen" feature.
-Host will email their guests their respective “Character Menus.”
-Host will setup and send out a Zoom meeting.
-By using Zoom’s “Screen Sharing” feature the Host will share Audio Tracks and Clues throughout the interactive game as guests work together to interrogate one another to solve the mystery.
What To Expect?
-Each of your guests will “arrive virtually” to your mystery party. They will mingle online and the host will start the game by reading over the instructions and kicking off the party by sharing an Audio Track with the group to set the stage for the impending mystery!
-Guests will mingle, side-bar, interrogate, converse, deflect, question, and interrogate one another using their supplied “character menus” that instruct them on what to say and more importantly, what not to say!
-Host will use their “Share Screen” feature to share Clues and Audio Tracks to keep the mystery moving!
-At the end of “three courses” players will have the opportunity to make an accusation of who committed the crime!
Is It A Party!?
Even though you're not all able to be in the same room doesn't mean it can’t be a party! We highly recommend dressing up! Your online game will be 100 times more fun and special if you and your guests come in costume!
What's a party without a libation? We whole-heartedly recommend your guests having snacks and drinks on hand while playing. You can get fancy with cocktails like Gin Fizzes, Hurricanes or Sazaracs, or simply beer and wine also do the trick!
